Keeping Safe Policy – Policy reviewed 24th September 2020

How we’re keeping everyone Covid Secure and Safe

With more recent change coming into effect from 24th September 2020 regarding the Covid-19 guidelines we’ve reviewed our Keeping People Safe Policy in line with the Governments Guidelines to be a Covid Secure Establishment.

Hygiene

We’re increasing all our hand washing and sanitising controls to help everyone keep good hygiene through the working day, as well as sanitising ‘touch points’. This means our staff will be encouraging our customers to use the new hand sanitising stations at entrances of the pub.

Face coverings

As per the Governments most current guidelines. We do now ask that all customers on entrance of the pub wear a face mask.

Once seated at your table, this can be removed for you to enjoy your meal and drinks.

The staff and servers will also wear masks in the establishment.

Safe Distancing

You’ll notice we’ve moved things around a little, so we can remain safely apart from one another so that everyone can

Service

We’re asking people to book tables, whether it be for a meal or just a drink so you have a table. But you can just pop by, but be patient with that in mind if we don’t have a table immediately. Someone will greet you at the entrance and explain how things work, with regard to ordering and will be there to reassure and explain the new service steps.

Some of the steps taken, for example are:

  • We will provide cutlery and condiments only after our customers have been seated.
  • Frequent cleaning of objects and surfaces that are touched regularly including counters and tills
  • Cleaning non-disposable condiment containers, i.e. salt & pepper shakers along with sauce bottles – after every use.
  • Reducing the number of surfaces touched by both staff and customers. For example, asking customers to remain at a table where possible, or to not lean on counters.

We are only accepting tables of a maximum of 6 people. There will be some limited exemptions. For example a single household or support bubble that is larger than six people, are still able to gather.

Trading Hours

These have been amended in line with Government legislation.

  • shutting our doors at 10pm
  • last drink orders will be 9:30pm
  • the kitchen will shut at 9pm
  • our last booking available shall be 8:30pm

Dedicated Entrance & Exit

External doors will be kept open where possible, and we have a dedicated entrance and exit, the only exception is for our disabled customers. We will endeavour to follow the guidance of a one-way system. The exception to the one-way system will be the use of toilets.

Toilets

We’ll ensure that toilets are regularly cleaned throughout the day to ensure/promote good hygiene, social distancing, and clean facilities.

We also have Sterilo hand dryers which are Government tested – and kill over 99% of bacteria within a room

Children and dogs

Much as they like to, please don’t let them wander.

Government Track and Trace Scheme

We will be asking for contact details from a member of each party as per the Government steer to collect information for ‘track and trace’ as compulsory measure.

Customer Contact

As tempting as it would be to hug friends or people that you haven’t seen for a long time, you must maintain social distancing.

We also respectfully ask that you don’t move tables around, they have been positioned with thought.

If you are feeling at all unwell, please save your visit for another day.

We hope you find all these changes reassuring and feel free to chat anything through with any of our crew when you visit.
