As winners of Colchester & North Essex CAMRA Pub of the Year 2011 you might imagine we serve some cracking real ales. Our permanent cask offering features Crouch Vale Brewers Gold & Adnams Bitter, although we have up to five ales on at any time usually including a mild or a stout. Look out for our twice yearly Beer Festivals.

It's not just the real ale fans we look after either. We also carry an extensive bottled beer & cider list including some great British craft beer and some rarer World beers. On draught we have Calvors 3.8% Suffolk Lager and the first ever golden beer Pilsner Urquell still brewed in Pilsen in the Czech republic.

Our wine list is supplied by Adnams with the addition of some great English wines from Giffords Hall vinyard, Hartest. There are also some great choices for the designated drivers and under 18's. Our range of local soft drinks includes Breckland Orchard Sloe Lemonade, Ginger Beer with Chilli or an Apple & Rhubarb Juice from Stoke Farm Orchards and our coffee is hand roasted in Woodbridge by Paddy & Scotts, we also serve a selection of loose leaf teas in silk 'temples' from Teapigs.
